Agreement on business and technical cooperation signed between YDF and skills training centre

Youth with disability forum and Skills Training Centre signed an agreement on business and technical cooperation on Friday, 4th Decembre 2009 in at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce.
The signing underlines the aim to stimulate disability employment and full inclusion of people with disabilities into working environment by a unique management and vocational training programme being implemented within the middle-sized public companies.
In May this year, the Republic of Serbia parliament passed the Law on professional rehabilitation of people with disabilities by means of are regulated initiatives for their integration in the labour market, working ability assessment, provision of equal employment opportunities and other conditions importantboth for the disabled and potential employers.
Having realized the importance of supporting the inclusion of the disabled in all spheres of social interaction, particularly employment, the two organizations officialized their cooperation the day after the International Day of people with disabilities, thus demonstrating good practice. ’The Disability Employment and Awareness” program is aimed at building and strengthening the capacities of companies that promote disability employment. Its main objective is to tackle major and direct obstacles and problems related to successful disability employment process in all sectors and the open labour market.
The training modul for potential employers was supported by the National Labour Service, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and many other relevant institutions; after the contract signing ceremony, a press conference was held with speeches by Mr Zeljko Ilic (Youth with disability forum), Dragan Djordjevic (Skills) and Zoran Milosevic, president of the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Assembly.
